Café Holzweiler is rooted in family, community, and the rituals that bring us together.
The story begins in the 1950s, when Susanne and Andreas Holzweiler's grandfather ran a small café in Kreuzau, Germany. Decades later, the café's original logo, old menus, and photographs were rediscovered in storage and served as a quiet reminder that hospitality and gathering have always been part of the Holzweiler DNA. Today, that same logo lives on here in Oslo.
After four years of Holzweiler Platz, the family felt it was time to evolve into something more relaxed and everyday. Café Holzweiler was born as a place to pause, recharge, and connect, whether over a post-workout coffee, a weekday reset, or weekend catch-ups with friends.
The menu, designedby culinary creator Selma Elyacoubi, reflects this spirit: a collage of inspirations brought together by one rule: "it tastes great". Here, shakshuka, sourdough pancakes from Susanne's own recipe, and seasonal bowls, served alongside coffee from long-time partner Supreme Roastworks take centre stage.
Café Holzweiler is our contribution to the Oslo community. A space made for eating, laughing, working, and simply being.
Welcome to Café Holzweiler. A place to come as you are, and stay as long as you like.
Love,
Holzweiler
